Wanda June Elliott, 64, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away Thursday December 6, 2012 at 4:15 A.M. at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL
Wanda was born on October 19, 1948 in Danville, IL the daughter of Henry Hugh Isom and Silva Fern (Heightshoe) Isom.
She married Ronnie S. Elliott on May 1, 1992 in Danville, IL; he survives in Hoopeston, IL.
Surviving family includes one son: Ryan (Jamie) Barker of Hoopeston, IL; three step-sons: John (Amanda) Elliott of Hoopeston, Ronnie Elliott of Hoopeston, and David Elliott of Hoopeston; three daughters: June (Ron) Cotten of Covington, IN, Lu Ann (Rob) Ellett of Armstrong, IL, and Sue Huls of Rantoul, IL; one step-daughter: Alice Russell of Hoopeston, IL; one brother: Kent (Brenda) Isom of Potomac, IL; one sister: Nancy Isom of Hoopeston, IL; seventeen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
Mrs. Elliott worked at McDonald's. She enjoyed reading, cooking, watching Illinois basketball and the Chicago Cubs, going to auctions and socializing with friends. Her greatest enjoyment was taking care of her dog, Lucy and spending time with her family.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Sunday, December 9, 2012 at the Anderson Funeral Home 427 E. Main St. Hoopeston, IL 60942. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 A.M. Monday, December 10, 2012 at the Anderson Funeral Home, with Pastor Adam Taubert officiating. Burial will follow funeral services at the Floral Hill Cemetery in Hoopeston.
