Steven L. "Buck" Alt, 62, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 6:10 P.M. Thursday May 23, 2013 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, IL. He was born September 26, 1950 in Watseka, IL, the son of Elmer and Florence (Hauptli) Alt.
He is survived by one sister, Cynthia (Mike) Klein of Danville, IL; two brothers, Stanley (Ann) Alt of Gibson City, IL and Wesley (Mary) Alt of Leland, N.C. and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Buck worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for over 30 years, before retiring. He enjoyed watching baseball, especially the St. Louis Cardinal's. Buck's greatest enjoyment was golfing, camping and spending time socializing with his friends.
