Melville Ross "Mel" Richardson, 79, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 3:35 A.M. Thursday March 7, 2013 at Heritage Health Therapy and Senior Care in Hoopeston, IL. He was born November 20, 1933, in Brown County, IN, the son of Lester and Maggie (Kent) Richardson.
He is survived by five daughters, Becky (Bob) Milburn of Hoopeston, IL, Brenda Richardson of Freedom, IN, Linda Davis of Spencer, IN, Cheryl Ringler of Martinsville, IN and Sue (Brad) McHaley of Spencer, IN; one sister Elsie (Ed) Doige of Spencer, IN; 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, nine brothers and one granddaughter.
Mel was a truck driver. He loved playing bluegrass music with his family and friends.
