Charles V. Winters Jr., 80, of Hoopeston, IL, passed away at 6:27 A.M. Friday November 23, 2012 at his home in Hoopeston. He was born March 9, 1932 in Plainfield, IN, the son of Charles Verlon and Myrtle Marie (Warner) Winters Sr.
He is survived by 3 sisters, Charlotte A. (Joe) Racz of Danville, IL, Sandra K. Winters of Hoopeston, IL and Beverly J. Mariage of Hoopeston, IL; 3 brothers, Lester Leroy (Sharon) Winters of Danville, IL, Jack F. (Barbara) Winters of Oklahoma and Raymond Allen (Virginia) Winters of Danville, IL and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister Myrtle M. Dilley and 1 brother.
Mr. Winters worked at American Can Company in Hoopeston for 45 years until his retirement. He served in the United States Army. Charles enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and especially his beloved pets Rover and Shadow.
